On 29th September 2024, Oswald DCunha took charge as the new Gurkar of Holy Family Ward, while Alphonse Saldanha assumed the role of Gurkar for Infant Jesus Ward. The oath of office was administered by Fr Roque DSa during a ceremony held at 6:30 am.
As a token of appreciation, bouquets were presented to the newly elected Gurkars. The outgoing Gurkar of Infant Jesus Ward, Rita Serra and Holy Family Ward Leena DSouza was honoured with a bouquet for her service.
The event was graced by the presence of Assistant Parish Priest, Fr Pradeep Rodrigues.
