St Vincent Ferrer Kindergarten came alive with colour, lights and joy as the school celebrated the festival of Deepavali on October 17. The celebration was a vibrant affair filled with creativity, cultural learning, and festive spirit.
In the spirit of the festival, students, with the enthusiastic support of their parents, prepared a variety of decorative lamps showcasing their creativity and understanding of the festival’s significance. Parents also took the initiative to design beautiful Rangoli patterns, adding a traditional and colourful touch to the event.
The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Fr Pradeep and Vice President Ronald Rodrigues, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness. Addressing the students, Fr Pradeep shared a short message on the meaning of light and how it relates to knowledge, goodness, and the festive spirit of Deepavali.
To make the occasion even sweeter, students were treated to traditional sweets, bringing smiles all around.
The event successfully combined cultural learning with hands-on participation, fostering community spirit among students, parents, and staff.
