St Vincent Ferrer Kindergarten marked Vanamahotsav Day with great enthusiasm on Wednesday, July 23, within the school premises. The celebration aimed to foster environmental consciousness and a love for nature among the young learners.
The students came dressed in vibrant green outfits, symbolizing harmony with nature. They brought a variety of plants from home and actively participated in planting them on the school grounds alongside their teachers. The event served as a hands-on learning experience, teaching the importance of trees and plant life.
In an effort to inculcate the habit of protecting the environment from a young age and to raise awareness about the impact of deforestation, the school conducted informative sessions. Children were guided through the significance of preserving greenery and how they can contribute to saving the planet.
The program was graced by the presence of Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest, Ronald Rodrigues, Vice President of the Parish Council, and Rita Menezes, Parish Secretary, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged the students to continue being guardians of nature.
