St Ann Ward celebrated its annual ward feast with great devotion and enthusiasm on Saturday, 26th July 2025. The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass at 5:00 PM, with ward members actively participating in the liturgy, reflecting their deep faith and unity. Fr Pradeep Rodrigues celebrated the eucharistic celebrations and Fr William Barracos concelebrated. Parish Priest Fr Roque DSa preached the homily on the virtues of St Anne and the importance of faith in family.
Following the Mass, a vibrant get-together was held at Ferrer Hall, where the evening unfolded with fellowship and festivities. The program began with a warm welcome address by Ward Gurkar Julian DSouza, followed by Ward Secretary Reema Noronha, who presented the ward report and expressed gratitude through the vote of thanks.
The event was graced by the presence of Parish Priest Fr Roque DSa, Assistant Parish Priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Parish Council Vice-President Ronald Rodrigues, and Parish Council Secretary Rita Menezes.
During his address, Fr Roque DSa praised the dedication of the Ward Gurkar, acknowledging his tireless efforts in bringing the ward together and serving both in the parish and the poor through his role as President of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP). He also commended the ward members for their collective spirit and unity in celebrating the occasion.
A delightful cultural program followed the formal segment, showcasing a medley of music, games, and entertainment, with enthusiastic participation from children, youth, and elders alike. Games were conducted by Mary DSouza. The entire evening was seamlessly compered by ward representative Valerian Monis, who kept the audience engaged and energized.
The celebration concluded with a sumptuous dinner, fostering fellowship and joy among all present.
