The Church Ward members joyfully celebrated the annual feast of their patron, St Mother Theresa, with great devotion on Saturday, 6th September 2025.

The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass at 5:00 PM, with ward members actively participating in the liturgy, reflecting their deep faith and unity. The Eucharistic celebration was led by Fr Roque DSa.

Following the Mass, a vibrant get-together was held at Ferrer Hall, filled with fellowship and festivities. The program commenced with a prayer service led by Emilda Monterio, followed by a warm welcome address from Ward Representative Lavina Nazareth. Leena Monterio presented the ward report, highlighting the year’s activities and achievements, while Ward Gurkar Veena DSouza proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating the collective efforts of all ward members.

The event was graced by the presence of Parish Priest Fr Roque DSa, Assistant Parish Priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Parish Council Vice-President Ronald Rodrigues and Parish Council Secretary Rita Menezes. In his address, Fr Roque DSa commended the dedication of the Ward Gurkar and members for their wholehearted participation and active involvement in parish activities.

A special highlight of the evening was the felicitation of ward members for their excellence in academics, sports, and community leadership. The achievements were gracefully presented by  Veera DSouza, and the dignitaries honoured the achievers with much applause.

The formal segment was followed by a delightful cultural program, featuring music, games, and entertainment by children, youth, and adults. An invocation by Simon Rodrigues and team set the tone for the performances, while Hazel Dsouza compered the event with elegance and charm.

The evening concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
