The KRYC (Karnataka Regional Youth Commission) Cross, a symbol of unity and spiritual preparation, arrived at Valencia Church from St Joseph’s Church, Jeppu, on 25th September at 5:30 PM. The faithful of Valencia parish welcomed the Cross with prayers and a time of veneration that evening.
The Cross was kept in the church overnight and throughout the day on 26th September, providing an opportunity for parishioners to spend time in prayer and reflection. Many devotees visited the church to pray before the Cross and seek blessings, making it a spiritually enriching experience for the community.
At 5:00 PM on 26th September, a short prayer service was led by Assistant Parish Priest, Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, after which the Cross was solemnly handed over to Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres.
The handover team from Valencia was led by Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, along with Parish Pastoral Council Vice-President and Animator of ICYM Valencia Ronald Rodrigues , Alden Keith (President of ICYM Valencia), Secretary Ria Menezes and other ICYM members who actively took part in the ceremony.
The event marked another meaningful milestone in the spiritual journey of the KRYC Cross as it continues its pilgrimage through the diocese, preparing the youth and faithful for the upcoming convention.
