Catholic Sabha Valencia Organises Elocution Competition

Catholic Sabha Valencia Unit successfully organised Elocution Competition on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the conference hall. The event aimed to encourage and showcase the public speaking talents of young parishioners and saw enthusiastic participation from 32 contestants.

The competition began with a short formal program attended by distinguished guests including Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest, Ronald Rodrigues Vice-President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank Ltd and Ex-President Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R) and Steevan Rodrigues, former Vice-President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R). Their presence added grace and encouragement to the budding orators.

The event was judged by two esteemed personalities, Edna Veigas from Milagres and Gracy Mathias from Bejai, both known for their dedication to language and communication excellence.

The program was well-coordinated by Catholic Sabha Valencia Unit under the leadership of President Lizzy Pinto and Secretary Jessy Baretto. The event convenors, Sandra Lobo and Dolphy Saldanha, played a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of the competition. Patrick DSouza was the MC for the competition

The Elocution Competition was a great success, fostering confidence and communication skills among the participants, while also bringing together the parish community in support of young talent.
