The parish community came together in gratitude and joy as Fr Roque DSa marked the blessed occasion of his 39th anniversary of priestly ordination on 30 April 2026. The celebration began with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass at 6:30 am, where parishioners gathered in prayer to thank God for his dedicated years of service to the Church.
The Eucharistic celebration was filled with a spirit of reverence and thanksgiving, reflecting on Fr Roque’s unwavering commitment, pastoral care and spiritual leadership over nearly four decades.
Following the Mass, representatives of the Parish Council extended their heartfelt congratulations and appreciation. Assistant Parish Priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, along with Vice President Ronald Rodrigues and Secretary Leeda Aquinas, honored Fr Roque with a bouquet as a token of gratitude on behalf of the entire parish community. Parishioners present also took the opportunity to personally greet him and express their good wishes.
The celebration continued with a simple yet joyful moment, where cakes were distributed to all present, symbolising the sweetness of shared faith.
As we thank God for Fr Roque’s 39 years of devoted priesthood, we pray that he may be blessed with good health, strength and continued zeal in his ministry. May his journey continue to inspire many to walk in faith and service.
