Members of church ward celebrated Feast of St Mother Teresa their Ward Patroness with great devotion and enthusiasm at the ward level on September 5th 2026. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharistic Mass at 5:00 pm, which was attended by the people of the ward.
The evening program commenced at 6:30 pm in the presence of the Parochial administrator, Assistant Parish Priest, Vice President and Secretary of the parish council, along with the members of the ward.
The program began with a prayer service, led by Emilda Monteiro, followed by a warm welcome address by the Ward Gurkar Emilda DSilva, who welcomed all the dignitaries and members of the gathering.
Dr Prakash Saldanha the Dean of Yenopoya deemed to be University was honoured and presented with a citation in recognition of his achievements and contribution in the medical field. The ward achievers were also felicitated with floral honours in appreciation of their accomplishments. The felicitation program was conducted by Veera Dcunha.
As the celebration coincided with Teachers’ Day, all the teachers present were greeted with flowers as a token of love and appreciation for their dedication and service.
The Annual Report of the ward was systematically presented by Leena Monteiro.
The celebration continued with a variety of cultural program, including dances, songs, and games. The winners of the games were awarded with the prizes. Hazel DSouza efficiently organised and coordinated the entire program, ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Lavina Nazreth, who expressed gratitude to all those who have contributed to the success of the celebration.
The evening ended on a joyful note with a fellowship dinner, bringing the people of the ward together in a spirit of unity, fellowship and togetherness.
