As part of the preparations for the annual parish feast of Valencia Church, Confraternity Sunday (Compricho Aithar) was celebrated with great fervor on 18 January 2025. The day witnessed the faithful coming together in large numbers to participate in the solemn celebrations.
The Eucharistic Celebration, which began at 4:00 PM, was led by Rev. Fr Leo Lasrado, Secretary of the Catholic Board of Education, Diocese of Mangalore, as the Main Celebrant. He was joined by co-celebrants Fr Roque DSa (parish priest), Fr Pradeep Rodrigues (Asst PP), and Fr William Barracos.
Following the Mass, the Holy Eucharist, adorned in a golden-colored monstrance, was carried in a grand procession. The brass band enhanced the sanctity of the occasion by playing devotional hymns, adding a solemn and uplifting ambiance to the event.
The procession concluded with the parishioners assembling at the church for Benediction, once again led by Rev. Fr Leo Lasrado. The heartfelt proceedings of Confraternity Sunday were a testament to the deep faith and unity of the parish community.
