The parish joyfully celebrated Altar Servers’ Day on 10th August 2025 during the 8:00 am Mass, celebrated by Asst Parish Priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues.
Following the Mass, a special get-together was held at Ferrer Hall, where altar servers and their parents gathered. Andrick Jaden Pinto served as the MC for the program, which began with a prayer song. The Deron Lobo member of the association welcomed the gathering, after which Dishanth presented a brief history of altar serving. Daniel DSouza proposed the vote of thanks.
The formal program was graced by Parish Priest Fr Roque DSa, Asst Parish Priest Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Parish Council Vice President Ronald Rodrigues, and Santhosh Sequeira, a well-wisher and Patron Donor of the Altar Servers’ Association.
Santhosh Sequeira was specially honoured for his unwavering support to the association and his generosity as patron donor. In his address, he shared his personal journey, love for serving at the altar, and inspired the young altar servers to remain committed to their ministry.
Fr Roque DSa, in his message, commended the altar servers for their dedication in serving the Church despite their busy schedules. He encouraged them to continue their good work with joy and devotion. He also expressed gratitude to Santhosh Sequeira for his steadfast support, and also appreciated the tireless efforts of Ronald Rodrigues as Vice President of the Parish Council.
The event also featured the distribution of prizes to children for various activities conducted throughout the year, followed by a vibrant cultural program presented by members of the Altar Servers’ Association.
