Annual Lenten Charismatic Retreat 2026 Begins with Deep Spiritual Fervor Day-1

The Annual Lenten Charismatic Retreat began at 4:00 PM on 23rd February 2026 with an atmosphere of deep prayer and spiritual anticipation. The faithful gathered in large numbers, united in their desire to enter more meaningfully into the sacred season of Lent through reflection, repentance and renewal.

The retreat is being graciously led by Fr Alban DSouza, Parish Priest and Rector of St Lawrence Minor Basilica Karkala. With his inspiring guidance and Spirit-filled preaching, the participants were invited to deepen their personal relationship with God and to open their hearts to the transforming grace of the Holy Spirit.

The inaugural session set a powerful tone for the retreat. Through praise and worship, proclamation of the Word of God and moments of silent adoration, the faithful experienced a profound sense of spiritual enrichment and inner renewal. The reflections encouraged participants to examine their lives in the light of the Gospel and to embrace Lent as a journey of conversion and hope.

As the retreat continues, it is our prayer that this sacred time of grace may bring healing, renewed strength and abundant blessings to all who are taking part.

May the Lord continue to guide our parish community in faith and unity during this blessed season.
