Annual Lenten Charismatic Retreat Continues for Day- 3

The Annual Lenten Charismatic Retreat day- 3 commenced at 4:00 PM on 25th February 2026 in a prayerful and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The faithful gathered in large numbers, united in their desire to journey more meaningfully through the sacred season of Lent, A time of reflection, repentance and renewal.

The retreat is being graciously led by Fr Alban DSouza, Parish Priest and Rector of St Lawrence Minor Basilica. With Spirit-filled conviction and pastoral warmth, he invited the faithful to deepen their personal relationship with God and open their hearts to the transforming grace of the Holy Spirit. His reflections encouraged participants to embrace this sacred season with renewed faith and wholehearted surrender to God’s will.

During his reflection, Fr Alban spoke profoundly about the importance of forgiveness in the Christian life. He reminded the faithful that true peace begins when we learn to forgive those who have hurt us, just as God continually forgives us. Emphasizing that forgiveness is not a sign of weakness but a grace-filled act of strength, he encouraged everyone to let go of resentment and entrust their wounds to the healing mercy of God.

The retreat also provided an opportunity for the Sacrament of Confession, where many participants approached the Lord with humble and contrite hearts. Through this sacred encounter with God’s mercy, the faithful experienced spiritual cleansing, renewal and a deep sense of reconciliation.

The inaugural session set a grace filled tone for the days ahead. Through vibrant praise and worship, the proclamation of the Word of God and moments of silent Eucharistic adoration, the congregation experienced deep spiritual enrichment and inner renewal. Many were visibly moved, offering their prayers and intentions to the Lord and rediscovering peace in His presence.

As the retreat continues, prayers are being offered that this blessed time of grace may bring healing to the wounded, strength to the weary and abundant spiritual blessings to all who participate.
