The Catechism Day Celebration for the academic year 2025–2026 was held on 22 February 2026 with a joyful gathering at our church. The event commenced with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration, followed by the much anticipated prize distribution and a vibrant cultural program at the golden jubliee hall.
The Holy Eucharist was solemnly celebrated by our Parish Priest, Fr Roque DSa, as the main celebrant. The co-celebrants were Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest; Fr Santhosh Lobo, Parish Priest of Infant Mary Church, Katipalla, Mangalore and Fr Vincent Rodrigues, former Vicar General of the Diocese of Bellary.
The chief guest for the cultural program was Fr Santhosh Lobo, Parish Priest of Infant Mary Church, Katipalla, Mangalore. The program was presided over by Fr Roque DSa, our beloved Parish Priest, in the presence of Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest; Leeda Aquinas, Secretary of the PPC and Emilda Monteiro, the Sunday Catechism Coordinator.
During the prize distribution ceremony, students who achieved 100% attendance and secured top marks in the Catechism examination were recognized and awarded. Their dedication and hard work were appreciated and celebrated with great enthusiasm.
The celebration was a meaningful and memorable occasion for the children who faithfully attended Sunday Catechism throughout the year. It marked not only the end of the 2025–2026 Catechism classes but also a beautiful reminder of the values they have learned, the importance of Christian living and following the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
As we bid adieu to the Catechism year 2025–2026, we thank God for the growth in faith, knowledge and spiritual understanding experienced by our children and we pray that they continue to walk in the path of Christ with commitment and joy.
