The Annual Lenten Charismatic Retreat prayerfully concluded on its fourth and final day, 26th February 2026, marking the culmination of four days of grace, renewal and spiritual awakening.
The retreat, which began each evening at 4:00 PM, drew large numbers of faithful who gathered with a sincere desire to journey more meaningfully through the sacred season of Lent a time of reflection, repentance and renewal. Over the four days, hearts were touched, spirits were lifted and many experienced a deeper encounter with God.
The retreat was graciously led by Rev. Fr Alban DSouza, Parish Priest and Rector of St Lawrence Minor Basilica. Fr Alban called the faithful to deepen their personal relationship with God and to open their hearts to the transforming grace of the Holy Spirit. His inspiring reflections encouraged everyone to embrace Lent with renewed faith, sincere repentance and complete surrender to God’s holy will.
The final day was especially moving, with a special blessing imparted to married couples, youth and children. Families stood united in prayer, seeking God’s grace upon their homes. The youth and children were entrusted to the Lord in a heartfelt manner, invoking divine guidance and protection over their lives and future.
A deeply prayerful time of Eucharistic Adoration and vibrant praise and worship marked the conclusion of the retreat. In the serene presence of the Blessed Sacrament, the faithful offered thanksgiving for the blessings received during the retreat. Many experienced moments of inner healing, peace and spiritual renewal.
As the retreat came to an end, the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and hope. Though the four-day spiritual gathering concluded, the call to live out the Lenten journey with renewed commitment continues carrying forward the grace, joy and transformation experienced during these blessed days.
