Holy Rosary ward celebrated its ward feast honouring our Lady of Rosary on Saturday, 11 October 2025, with devotion and joy.
The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration led by Fr Pradeep Rodrigues Assistant Parish Priest, at 5 pm, with members actively participating in the Liturgy, reflecting deep faith and unity.
Following the mass, a short cultural program was organized at 6.30 pm in the Ferrer Hall, by the ward members with elders and children performing vividly, creating wonderful memories, marking the joyous occasion.
The formal program commenced with a beautiful Prayer dance drama depicting our Lady of Rosary. Leena DSouza welcomed the gathering, followed by ward secretary Meera Fernandes, who read out the annual report on the ward’s activities.
The formal function was presided over by Fr Roque DSa Parish Priest, who lauded the unity and togetherness of the ward members and the leadership provided by the ward Gurkar and the ward representatives.
Ronald Rodrigues, the Vice-President of the Parish Council, addressed the gathering with words of appreciation and greetings. Fr Pradeep Rodrigues led grace before meals. Sr Sumana, Superior Holy Rosary Convent and Rita Menezes graced the occasion. Jacintha Merlyn proposed a vote of thanks.
The cultural fiesta had songs and dances by children and youth, songs and skit by older folks. The participation of the audience was enhanced by the games conducted by Dr Rose Veera DSouza to create memories. The enthusiastic participation radiated community spirit and togetherness. The program concluded with a fellowship meal to the satisfaction of each one. Savita DSouza ably anchored the program, creating the apt environment for fun and frolic.
