ICYM Valencia Unit organised a meaningful visit to Bala Yesu Nilaya Ashram Maryhill, Mangalore. On Sunday, 22 March 2026. The ashram, managed by the Sisters of Apostolic Carmel, provides shelter, care and education to 35 girl children.
As part of the visit, the ICYM Valencia Unit initiated a grocery collection drive within the parish. Parishioners generously contributed essential items, reflecting strong support for the initiative. The drive was successfully led by Unit President Alden Keith and Secretary Ria Menezes under the guidance of Director Fr Roque DSa, Assistant Director Fr Pradeep, Animator Ronald Rodrigues and Ex-President Clive Rego.
During the visit, the youth members spent quality time interacting with the children. The program was compered by Rishel DAlmeida, while games were organised by Secretary Ria Menezes with the support of ICYM members. Animator Ronald Rodrigues shared words of encouragement and motivation with the children.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by President Alden Keith. Sr Suguna and Sr Premlatha of Bala Yesu Nilaya were present and appreciated the efforts of the youth in bringing joy and support to the children.
The visit highlighted the spirit of service and compassion among the ICYM Valencia Unit members.
