The Parish solemnly inaugurated the Sunday Catechism Classes for the Catechetical Year 2026–27 during the 8:00 a.m. Holy Mass on 7 June 2026. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Parish Priest, Fr Cyprian Pinto, marking the beginning of a new year of spiritual growth for the children of the parish.
The celebration commenced with a meaningful entrance procession led by the catechism teachers, accompanied by four children and their parents, symbolising the shared responsibility of the Church and families in nurturing the faith of young believers. The procession set a prayerful and joyful tone for the inauguration ceremony.
Following the homily, all catechism teachers solemnly took their oath of commitment. The oath was administered and read out by Fr Cyprian Pinto, as the teachers pledged to faithfully carry out their mission of imparting the teachings of Christ and accompanying the children in their faith journey.
After the Holy Mass, Catechism Coordinator Emilda Monteiro organised the allocation of classes, assigning children to their respective catechism groups for the academic year. Parents and students were guided through the process, ensuring a smooth and orderly commencement of classes.
To mark the occasion and foster a spirit of fellowship, snacks were served to all those present.
