The annual day celebrations was held on 6 June 2026. The celebration commenced with a solemn Eucharistic mass at 5.00pm. The Eucharistic celebration was led by Rev. Fr Cyprian Pinto, Parish Priest and Spiritual Director of the unit. The liturgy was meaningfully conducted by the members of Catholic Sabha.
Following the Holy Mass, members and guests gathered at Ferrer Hall for the Annual Day program. The event began with a prayer song rendered by Maria and team, invoking God’s blessings on the gathering. Flavia Menezes Unit President, extended a warm welcome to all present.
The Annual Report was presented by Jessie Barretto, highlighting the unit’s various achievements, activities and initiatives undertaken during the year.
The dignitaries on the dais included Fr Cyprian Pinto Parish Priest and Spiritual Director, Fr Alwyn Crasta Assistant Parish Priest, Ronald Rodrigues Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council; Dr Leonilda Aquinas Secretary and Steevan Rodrigues First Vice President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh.
A felicitation program was held in honour of Fr Cyprian Pinto, Fr Alwyn Crasta and Steevan Rodrigues in recognition of their dedicated service and contributions. The felicitation ceremony was ably conducted by Dolphy Saldanha.
In his presidential address, Rev. Fr Cyprian Pinto congratulated the members of Catholic Sabha for their commitment and dedicated service. He appreciated their efforts in strengthening the parish community and extending support to society at large.
Nancy DSouza, Secretary of the unit proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration.
The formal program was followed by an entertaining cultural segment. The children delighted the audience with a vibrant dance performance, while Maria, Jacintha Fernandes and team presented a melodious Mando, adding a rich touch of traditional Konkani culture to the festivities.
The gathering enthusiastically participated in spot games conducted by Patrick DSouza, while Dolphy Saldanha kept the audience engaged with an exciting round of Housie-Housie.
The celebrations concluded with a fellowship meal. The memorable and successful Annual Day celebration was efficiently compered by Janet Pereira.
