Catholic Sabha Valencia Unit organised an Awareness Session on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls on 5th July 2026 at 9:00am in the Golden Jubilee Hall.
The session, attended by around 300 parishioners, aimed to create awareness about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), an initiative of the Election Commission of India to verify and update electoral rolls. Amitha Ashwin was the resource person and explained the SIR process, its importance and the procedures involved in voter verification and registration.
The program was graced by Fr Cyprian Pinto Parish Priest, Fr Alwyn Crasta Assistant Parish Priest, Ivan DSouza MLC Govt of Karnataka, Flavia Menezes President of the Catholic Sabha Valencia Unit, Anil Lobo Chairman MCC Bank and Steevan Rodrigues Vice President Catholic Sabha Mangalore Diocese.
The session was highly informative and received an encouraging response from the parishioners. It helped create greater awareness about the Special Intensive Revision process and highlighted the importance of ensuring that every eligible voter is correctly enrolled in the electoral rolls.
