The Sunday Catechism classes for the academic year 2025–2026 was solemnly inaugurated at St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, on Sunday, June 8, 2025, during the 8:00 AM Mass.
The inaugural ceremony was marked by the enthusiastic participation of children, parents, catechism teachers, the Vice President and Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, and a large number of parishioners.
The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Fr Roque DSa, Parish Priest, and concelebrated by Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest. The celebration began with a special entrance procession followed by watering of a plant that included children, parents, catechism teachers, and parish leaders.
During the celebration, handing over of the Holy Bible was done by Fr Roque to Emilda Monteiro, Catechism Coordinator. This act represented the sacred mission entrusted to the catechism team to guide and form the young minds of the parish in the light of Christ and the teachings of the Church.
The parish community joyfully welcomed the new catechetical year, praying for God’s guidance and blessings upon the children, their families, and all those involved in this noble ministry of faith formation.
We wish all our catechism students and teachers a fruitful and grace-filled year ahead.
