On 30 August 2026, the members of Nithyadhar A Ward made a heartfelt visit to two homes, Musange First Home and St Ann’s Home, Simon Lane Capitano, run by the Sisters of St Ann’s of Providence.

The visit was more than an act of charity. It became a beautiful encounter of hearts, where time, companionship, listening and love were shared with elderly residents who often long for someone to sit beside them and simply listen.

The ward members actively participated in the visit and spent quality time with the residents. They interacted warmly with the elderly, listened to their stories and experiences and shared moments of laughter and conversation. Their presence brought a sense of warmth and belonging to the homes.

The members also brought along some essential and needy items, along with snacks and handed them over to the respective homes. But beyond the material gifts, it was their personal presence that seemed to touch the hearts of the elderly the most. To add more joy to the occasion, the ward members sang songs together with the residents, creating an atmosphere filled with smiles, happiness and togetherness.

The visit left the members with a profound realisation, true service is not only about giving things, it is about giving our time, attention, love and respect.  As the members returned home, they carried with them much more than memories. They returned with grateful hearts, countless smiles and the blessings of the elderly.
